ABOUT US

Welcome to Ainsdale Lunch and Leisure

Our goal, is for every older adult to live longer and better, and we recognise the positive role we might play in this.

Enablers of wellbeing in older age, we create opportunities within an environment that supports the processes of healthy ageing, encouraging people to be and do what they value throughout their lives.

We combat social isolation and loneliness, taking every opportunity to point out the endless reasons, our unique, and remarkable older adults, should celebrate both themselves and one another.

What we do:

We direct our services to support individuals with the self-care aspects of their physical, mental & cognitive health.

With a possible 1-2% of functional ability lost each year from our third decade, remaining active physically, mentally and socially could prove the cornerstone to healthy ageing. Services that support individuals in maintaining the 5 key domains of functional ability is key. Namely ability to:

  • Meet basic needs
  • Learn, grow and make decisions
  • Be mobile
  • Build and maintain relationships
  • Contribute to society

Our package of support:

  • Community Café
  • Luncheon Club
  • Activities to support Physical and Social Wellbeing

We aim to inspire and empower our older adults to remain firmly in the driving seat, in control and enjoying life, for longer.

Uniquely individual, needs on the ground will vary for each of us. Our services can be bespoke-packaged to suit the support requirements of every older adult, locally. To ensure our support stretches as far as possible, we are part of a constantly evolving network of partner organisations, to whom we signpost individuals as appropriate.

We operate a Charity Shop, open to the whole community, and support Volunteering Opportunities across our entire range of services.
