VOLUNTEERING

We could chatter on all day about how wonderful our volunteers are, how vital to our work.  And not a word, would be exaggeration!

Simply put… without our volunteers, there would be no Ainsdale Lunch and Leisure. For hundreds of older adults within our community (and plenty of younger ones too), Volunteers ensure access to our support services remain open.

Our family of volunteers, undertake a wide variety of roles, mucking in together where needed to ensure the job not only gets done, but to an excellent standard.

Below are just some of the roles within which our volunteers make a hugely positive difference:

  • Kitchen & Catering Assistants
  • Community Café / Luncheon Club Assistants
  • Lunch Club Meal Delivery Drivers
  • Meeters & Greeters
  • Charity Shop Assistants
  • Office Support Assistants
  • Class Leads: Tutoring and Instructing
  • Marketing Assistants: Spreading awareness of our services

The list above isn’t exhaustive. We recognise and appreciate the value of individuals, their interests and passions; and we are grateful when those talents are directed toward supporting our cause.

Volunteering, can be likened to a great big hug; it’s warming, satisfying, and leaves you feeling great.

If you’d like to get involved, call office manager Audrey for a chat on 01704 574838 or email: office@ainsdalelunchandleisure.org.uk
