Gardening Group

Here at Ainsdale Lunch and Leisure, we are fortunate to share in a great sense of community. Our Gardening Group, who take up their shovels and spades on Monday mornings throughout the year are representative of this. Gardening activities involve a mix of planting, weeding, digging, and general tidying of the Ainsdale Methodist Church garden and grounds. Time is always ring-fenced for a cuppa and a chat.

Throughout the growing season, the Gardening Group support Ainsdale Lunch and Leisure by providing us with fresh produce (courgettes, tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, potatoes etc) which are generally in ample supply. In turn, this allows us to create some wonderful, and importantly affordable, dishes which are available to purchase in our Community Cafe.
